3. Tournament hours will be 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The late penalty will be 0.5 pounds per minute late. Teams that have experienced major mechanical problems will be
exempt from lateness. In the event of a fog delay or another anomaly the length of the day will not be changed unless it is
greater than a one hour delay and the Executive approves of an extension.
4. Each team is permitted to weigh in six bass in any combinations
of largemouth or smallmouth. All other species must be released. No culling is
permitted inside the weigh-in area. Once a team has weighed-in their six fish they are not permitted to fish any more
on tournament waters.
5. Only largemouth
and smallmouth bass caught in designated tournament waters during tournament hours are eligible to be weighed. Damaged fish (not being weighed-in) should be turned over to tournament officials and
no penalty will result.
6. Live wells are mandatory
on all competitors boats. Properly designed cooler livewells are permitted.
7. Minimum eligible
size is twelve (12) inches, measured from tip of the nose to the tip of the tail. There
will be no penalty for each dead fish. If one fish is dead, the weight will come
off of that fish!!! (** for big fish prize **).
We hope anglers will do their best to keep all fish alive.
8. In the event of a tie, in any prize position, the prize
money will be combined and split evenly.
9. No live or
preserved bait is allowed. Pork baits are permitted.
10. No alcoholic beverages are allowed on competitors' boats during
tournament hours.
11. This rule eliminated -
prefishing.
12. Competitors must
abide by all applicable boating and sportfishing regulations.
13. Competitors must
remain in their team boats at all times, during tournament hours. If a competitor must leave their boat, it must be done under
the supervision of a VBT official.
14. ALL COMPETITORS MUST WEAR PROPERLY FASTENED LIFEJACKETS OR PERSONAL FLOATATION DEVICES WHEN MOVING AT OTHER
THAN TROLLING OR DRIFTING SPEEDS.
KILL SWITCHES MUST ALSO BE USED AT THIS TIME.
15. No one is permitted to board a competitor's boat during
tournament hours except officials, police or conservation officers.
16. All competitors
must register at tournament headquarters before 6:45 a.m..
17. Blast-off will
be ONE boat at a time.
18. Teams may protest
violations of the above rules, by other teams, provided the protest is in writing and is accompanied by a $ 25.00 fee. The
fee is refundable, if the protesting team wins its protest.
19. A minimum distance of one hundred (100) feet must be maintained
between competitor’s boats when fishing.
20. Teams are allowed to declare one big fish a day.
21. A team shall be
immediately disqualified from the tournament and may be disqualified from further completion in future tournament from public
unsportsmanlike conduct, during and immediately before or after the tournament.
22. Any team which
creates a public scene during a tournament over an issue will automatically be disqualified from the series, without appeal
and their entry and membership will be forfeited.
23. Teams will qualify
to fish for the Championship according to overall cumulative standings for the series.
The standings will be determined by taking each team’s aggregate weight from the four regular series events.
Qualifiers for the Championship will start with the first place team overall, and continue with the next highest team, until
the field is filled.
24. FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH ANY OF THE ABOVE RULES MAY
RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION. IF A TEAM IS DISQUALIFIED FOR ANY REASON, THAT TEAM
WILL FORFEIT ANY PRIZES ATTAINED FOR THAT DAY'S FISHING.
25. Decisions of the tournament officials are final.
