In 1991 a group of individuals decided to form a club for competetive bass fishing.
It was called VALLEY BASS TRAIL.
John Terhuurne was the first President, followed by Rick Klatt, Frank Ramsay, and finally Kim Pigeon. Initially
there were 20 two-person teams increasing to 30 teams, and in 2003 there were only 10 teams with several
"walk-on" teams at each tournament. Each year 4 one-day tournaments are scheduled with each team being
allowed a 6 fish limit for the day (note: changed to 5 fish limit for 2004).

On Saturday, August 28, 2004, the "CLASSIC" was held at Lake Clear. Jim Clouthier and Dennis Cybulskie won, with
a weight of almost 22.15 pounds (5 bass). The big fish, a smallmouth bass, was caught by Jim Clouthier
and weighed 6.02 pounds.
